He sits at the window day and night
No clue,
What is he waiting for or what are his thoughts?
An old man after his kids and wife left
He finds a corner
He chose to be silent.
Sometimes takes a nap looking at the ceiling
I wonder what’s on his mind and what he is feeling?
Is he asking for a ride
A sign?
Does he want to melt in the ground?
Does he want to go somewhere?
Where life be to him fair?
A place where he can talk about his pain and share?
Is he looking for help!?
Never talks about his life to the world
Since his love left
Doesn't say a word.
He used to be my friend
So sad to see his hands shaking,
Face showing lines
His eyes full of tears
Like a mad sky
Pouring rain
I feel his sorrow and pain.
Should I ask him
If he has something to say
or wants a memory to be shared?
I asked him where has your life gone?
What did you do? What have you done?
I am sure you are not happy.
Suddenly he turned around
Looked in my eyes
I could hear,
He is breaking inside.
Cries,
But
Quietly,
He took
Deep breath
again turned, to the window and
Said,
Why you didn’t ask me
What life HAS done to me?
He was shaking.
He couldn’t talk.
I turned around,
Thinking!!
Thank god, the real sickness and pain
Have not come yet.
He can survive,
I am sure he has hope,
Otherwise wouldn’t stay at the window
Waiting for something to arrive.
I left him alone.
